ahh, its finally here my 1000th post.

anyways.. i just had my acl and for the people who have had it done... how long was it till you could play sports?

6-7 months usualy. Mine took 4 years, cause I retore it twice.

It happens. Gettin meniscus surgery on my other knee in a week or two as well. Fully tore it, so that'll be fun.

tore my acl, pcl, and miniscus in july of 04 and was skiing (carefully and against the doctors orders) in january of this year.

MCL surgery? isn't that a little silly? how about you get an ice pump and dont ski or run for two months ice that bitch and waalaah knees good, minescus sugery i understand but MCL? waste of money

Most doctors won't even do MCl surgeries from what I understand.

actually its not that simple theres no possible way a ligament can fix itself and if i skied on it i would retear my acl so at this point, not doing it isnt an option

MCL's can reheal themselves, unless they are completely torn, in which case surgerie's the way to go.

Got my ACL and Miniscus surgery on the 16th of November, it's sucks but there is nothing you could do about it but wait till next year to go skiing.
