Line skis with regular bindings

I ordered both the invader and the elizabeth for this year, but I'm not sure what to do with the bindings. I think I'm going to go with the P12 jibs or something similar, but my question is has anyone ridden either of these skis with regular bindings and will it make much of a difference as compared to a reactor binding?
also, where to mount the elizabeth's ?

You can mount whatever you want on any line ski.
The prethreads shouldn't get in the way.
If your eliza's should have a little gold line at the rec'd point but there are two of them on that ski i think. What you want to do is have the boot sole line mounted in the direct center of the set of holes you are using as a mounting point.
^did that make sense? PM me if you want a better explanation.

prethreads shouldn't get in the way.
according to the line site the elizabeth's two mounting points for the line bindings are 20mm and 57mm back from center.

so if you were going to stick regular bindings on, would you go with 20mm or 57 back?

Depends on where you plan to be riding them.
If they are an inbounds and park/all mtn ski for you then go with the 20mm.
If they are going to be your powder/bc ski then go 57mm.
That's my best advice and opinion anyway.

since you have invaders for your park ski, i'd go with further back. but you don't have to mount them at one of those two, you can mount them anywhere in between if you desire, or further back. that's just the mounting point for the reactors.

Except that the shape tof the Elizabeth feels funny/ not right back from center. The turn radius of fat skis often dictates to the skier the best mounting position and this skis is one of them. Having skied it with a rector in several positions I can say that the more foward I skied the ski the more it felt it was doing what it was made to do. Having a nearly symetrical feel switch in the powed is sooo amazing and that is what this ski is all about. Mount them 2-4cm back from true center no more.

uSe the line reactors , make sure you get the correct brakes, you can switch the binding based on what yo uwan to ski on.

id say get the reactors then you wont have to worry where to mount the liz's and then you can turn the vaders around so you can cycle them.

you might just want to get reactors, i know they suck, but then you could swap bindings afrom each ski REALLY easily and you would only have to buy one pair of bindings

he only weighs 145 pounds whether or not they suck, he shouldn't have a problem with them, i haven't had a problem with them and i'm 160, the kids i know who have had a problem with them all weigh about 170 or up

I'd just go with the reactors. You'll only have to get one set of bindings and mounting won't be an issue. Just get them set up by a shop, and you shouldn't have any trouble with the binding.

the reactor bindings suck, they're way too heavy. try the salomon 912 or 914.

they're underfott the only time you feel it is when you carry them

i guess that might be true, but it just seems stupid to want to add any kind of weight to a freestyle ski when you don't have to. Even though it's underfoot, i'm sure it wears on the legs towards the end of the day, just as my heavy racing boots do now in the park.
I love the idea of being able to swap out the binding between the two skis, but realistically it costs about the same for two decent, trusted bindings, and one pair of these. don't know....
