I was wondering where i should mount my made'n aks because im gonna use them for everything except jibbing, so i want to land switch easily, be still have great performance in the bc.
mine are +2 but im thinking about switchin... only orblem is that if i switch, that would be the third set of holes in my skis... so i prolly won't switch
yeah, drilling a third time isn't good. my pistols were origionally at +1, but i never though i would be skiing switch on them. i discovered 179 was too short to be my powder ski, so i remounted them at +7.5 for park, and hitting back country booters. they are sick as hell. i just picked up a pair of the seth vicious in a 189 and mounted them at +5 for my pow excursions.
if you are smaller, then i think you wouldn't be unhappy skiing powder at +2 on your pistols.
well i live on the east coast, so my pistols are my groomer/all mtn skis. my made'n AKs at +7.5 have a bit too much tail for me but i really don't get too much use out of em, i skiied em when i went to aspen in march and they were fine (though i don't really think i know what i am doing in the pow pow since i don't have much experience). im prolly just gonna keep my pistols at +2 and use them whenever and im prolly gonna end up getting the karmas or the 180 butterlicious to have a 90mm waisted ski to finish up the quiver.
