FUCK, I have a hematoma

So, i bailed pretty hard onto basically ice off a hip, and i think i have a hematoma now, because htat happened in june, and its still swollen...

any suggestions as to making it go away?

Hematomas are tricky mother fuckers. they are terrible.

that's the worst, i got one the first day of the season last year, it still flares up if i give it a bump. If you have a lot of build up you have to massage it, it breaks it up, other than that, try your best to not hit it.

a contusion is a bruise. Not a hematoma. A hematoma is when you have a pocket deep in there filled with blood.

Sorry I know this thread is old, but I have a nasty one on my hip and was seeing about other peoples.

i maann, i got a hematoma one time when i landed flat in a pipe, it sucked so bad, i could hardly walk for about 3 days, it was dark black/red, and hard as a rock, i got it like a year about and there are still small taces of it in my leg

i have a hematoma from 4 years ago its a severe bruise where blood pools together if you dont stretch it out an ice it it calcify and become hard you pretty much lose all feeling in the area

haha i have a hematoma on my elbow, it's been there since june now, i was bombing this huge ass hill on a skateboard(big mistake) and i bailed and scraped the shit outta my elbow. Now it's all white and it's raised and it looks pretty nasty. I'm getting it removed soon tho

NOOOOOO heat is the worst thing for swelling, its premotes blood flow to the swollen area there for making it bigger, gentle icing for 20 mins then take off for 20 mins then put it back on,

I feel your pain guys. I had the combo hematoma and contusion from falling on a handrail. So i documented this peculiar occasion as you can see below.

my thigh is numb still from last year in April.
Yep. And still slightly discoloured. It's great. if you touch the area its all lumpy.

I gained a lot of feeling back to my thigh though, but it's still partly numb.

Yeah i know what you feeling. i have a hematoma still on my ass a season later after falling on a rail. the mussle doesnt repar itself and u have a lump there for ever. well thats what my phiso said!! haha

i had the same thing....ultrasound therapy at a physio will help a ton but if you';re in the us and no insurance, might not be possible.
