I owe so much to this site. If it wasn't for the graphic designer's cult and having guys like stevexs2, jibempyre/jibtastic, mauii, etc. I would've probably never got into graphic design.
I used to dabble with it a long time ago, but I'd just get frustrated and hated it. Having the guys in the gd cult and the pswars made graphic design fun for me, and gave me a place to get feedback/support/criticism and improvement.
Also, I've learned so much from the Dragon's Lair and had some of the best conversations there. It's opened my eyes to a lot of new perspectives I've never even thought about.
The media/videos has kept me so stoked on skiing and made me want to ride that much harder.
I could go on for days, but basically I agree with you. Ns has done so much for me.

Yeah, I wouldn't be in the position I am in now for sure.
I never could have got a design contract for Sublux, thats for sure. I wouldn't know nearly as much about graphic design or photography at all. I wouldn't have or know about nearly as much music as I do know.
And that doesn't even go into the skiing part. I have met lots of people that live by me to ski with.
NS makes the world go round.

My grades have dropped an outstanding .5 gpa from when I entered high school 3 years ago. Also without NS i would probably still be on the high school basketball team doing nothing on the weekends. Instead, I party every weekend and have about 10 times more fun than I ever would have being a jock. I owe alot to NS, and no doubt it will keep helping me in the future.

it's hard to imagine what i would have done with the time i wasted on this site. Chances are I would have wasted it on another site but there is a small possibility I would have done something productive with my time.
I don't think it's been a life changing experiance for me but I have definitely met some cool people, had quite a few laughs, and learned a little bit.

4ish years ago when a guy on the lift told me about this site, i was a recreational skier who just fooled around on jumps a bit. NS made me aware of freeskiing news, events, pros, movies and everything else that got me excited to devote so much time to this sport. that changed my life in a big way.
