Line Elizabeths on the east coast

I live in NH and was thinking about getting a pair. I ski about 50% park and 50% whatever else we have at the time. I already have a pair of Ar5s so I was thinking about getting something wider. How would the Elizabeths be on some ice and groomers? Also what bindings would be good with them?

Horrible on groomers. Maybe good for a fat ski, but not very well. Why do you want something 110 underfoot in the east?

sHoot, why not. I rode them on the groomer and they were just fine. If you ride it w/out being able to actually see the skis, you would never know that its 110 under foot. If I had the money, I would've gotten these skis instead of bc's. I'll prob get them when the price goes down later on in the season.

Thats what I was thinking, from what i have heard they are pretty light and agile so I figured that they would be a fun ski to play around in the crud and woods on. Also from everything i've read about them, they were made to be a fat park ski so obviously they would be good there.

To everyone who said no, shut up. You have never skied them. They are a freestyle ski that is fat thats all. It will work on the groomers, just watch the video on lines site, they look so versitale.

This whole "fat skis on the east coast is stupid" is so whack! I live in vermont and ride my Pistols more than my PEs and guess what...there's a reason for it. The Pistols are a fun fricking ski for almost any snow condition. Don't see why the 'Lizs would be any different.

Yea fat skis are amazing on hard pack, and in the park as long as you can control them

of you can ski any ski in any condition, and if you can control it, you could probably do it resonalby well. I can carve turns on hardpack on my spatulas, but the doesn't mean I should get spats if i'm skiing just hardpack. It's about getting the ski that performs best for the conditions, not just what's cool and managable. The elizabeth's are a stupid purchase for the east coast.

everyone's got this idea that lizzys are a pow ski just because there fat. its a park and booter ski. its called progression dont let the size put u off.its meant to ski more like a snowboard.

just get them, im sure they would rip the east. besides the east gets its fare share of powder and deep snow, in fact the east is getting ready to have more resorts open than the west does.

I wouldnt ride elizabeths on groomers, its kind of pointless, but theyd do the job on powder.

i ski with MESKI and he does fine with the lizz's awsome for park. he rides 07 scratches on and off with the lizz. i say get them if u like jumps, rails are sweet with them too from wut i hear.
fat skis are useable on any coast. so stop bitching about fat skis shouldnt be ridden on the east coast. u probably can even ski a fat ski period.

^ He got them a few months ago and he is having a real blast with them. The skis actually carve well in EC conditions and are very light for their size.

I love it when I hear people say you cant ski that here, or what the hell is that, or you can only ski those in powder. Then the looks they give you when you rip down some slope they cant ski.

yea true fat skis are sick, but skiing a ski thats 110 and not stiff is not a ski that ur gonna carve on or turn well on. and when it gets icey which every place in the east gets, u wont stand a chance on those skis, unless u dont mind sliding your turns instead of turning

ive been riding a set for a week now in NC and they are fun once you get used to them but be aware that they are a very soft ski and will chatter like crazy on anything hard. if you can lay an edge and ski a fat ski well though go ahead, theyre super light super flexy and great for pond skims. be ready to do some explaining everytime youre on the lift too.
