I'm supposed to go there for Christmas but i'm hearing they have no snow. Just wondering what's up and if it's likely that they'll even have a park/pipe?
If god can do anything can he make a chili pepper so hot he can't eat it?

their park/pipe was scheduled to open a week ago. and don't worry, by christmas it should be fairly good. but personally i hate whistler at christmas cuz of the crowds and the price-gouging but whatever

I'm going there for Christmas break. yes, they're open, and yes, i do believe they have a park, but it'd be at the top of the mountain. i'm almost positive, but not quite sure. there's 18 inches at the base of whistler, and once this warm front that is blocking the snow from the western areas of the US and Canada falls apart, we will get snow. The forecast (a probability, no more) says that the warm front is supposed to stop around next monday and rain(hopefully snow) should come, but then again we can only predict 5 days at the most ahead for weather, so it's a probability at best. but go to Whistler, i'm headin out with my friend for christmas break, it still is skiing, and it's still fun.

There is only man made snow at the base. just enought to get on the lift. Then there isn't a trace of snow till you get to solar coaster. There isn't even enough to ski down to the chair. They have no park. Just rails and a pipe that is not up to it's normal specs. The double black side of the park has almost no snow, where as the blue square side has just enough to cover the run. This is all based on when i was there for thanksgiving. Hopefully by christmas they will have more snow.
peace

DAMNIT BELIEVE!!!! I'm paying for the whole trip myself, that's like 550 dollars, and there's no snow. how do you think i feel? and i jsut got new skis and bindings and boots, everything and there's no snow at theplace i'm probably going to ski for the first time this year. WE jsut have to believe, and even though it looks lke we're in the portapotty and someones rollin us down a hill, we have to believe that that's not true. Yeha, thbat's my rant on believing. so now, everyone pray tonight for whistler to get snow.
