Big backyard quarterpipe

Ok, we have about 3 big rails in our sloped backyard here now but we are in the process of snow collection to start up our QP. Any ideas (not hay) to fill up space under the snow and ice layer to conusme space so that we don:t need as much snow? The ramp in is about 10 feet high a 23 foot tranny and then a lip as big as we can get it. This way we can jib all night after the hill shuts.
My drinking team has a serious skiing problem!

I am kind of unsure about the 23 feet of tranny but what we did for the halfpipe at my house is cut three trees down, limbed them, dug three holes in the ground and stuck the trees straight up. Then we cut three trees down again, this time into shorter lengths, and put them slanted to the first poles. Then we had to go and steel plywood to cover the space.

The wall pretty much looks like this

Then we will throw snow onto the wall.

i have to deal with the same shit it sucks but i haven't really thought of anything other than hay and straw. That is what we are going to use. sorry no other ideas

that tree idea is a pretty sick idea...you could also use dirt and just pile it up...only problem is is that the sun attracts to it, so when the dirt is exposed, it will melt the snow faster...so put a tarp over the jump when your not using it, or ontop of the dirt before it snows...

ya that tree idea is good but its kinda hard to just cut down trees in Whistler. I am thinking about possibly filling big ice cream buckets with water and the when I get big ice blocks in them use those as a base. At least it has started to snow here today. Anyone around Whistler who wants to use this park just message.

if you really want snow for your back yard go to a skating rink with a half ton and lot the back up with the snow that the zambonie (i think thats how it's spelt) brings out hell i do it all the time and they never stopped me
