I just bought a pair of brand new chronics saturday and I was trying them on and seeing how heavy they were and My razor sharp edged took a big slice out of the side of the topsheet. Can I warranty them and get them back before the end of november? I can't take them back to the shop because they were the last pair but does anyone know if I can fix them? I know its cosmetic but They've never been skied.
haha prob not man....topsheet chunks arent even covered under warranty...plus when u ski em it gonna get beat to hell anyways especially if you were just in your house and that shit happened
mix up some epoxy ad some paint to it prob black if you've got this years chronic and fill in the chunck then when it drys in a few days sand it down and your as good as new...
I'm gonna fill it with epoxy but somebody said it eats away the topsheet. I doubt this, I'm probably going to destroy them by the end of the season and then warranty them.
What type of epoxy should you use? I tried this on my chronics from last year and the epoxy just came out...probably from the flexing of the ski.....I only want to fill it so I don't get moisture in my core...maybe some silicon caulking would work...any help would be appreciated
All you have to do is take care of your skis off of the slopes...keep them waxed, store them somewhere warm and dry...then ski the shit out of them...don't worry about breaking them on the slopes...chances are they will last you and if they don't Line won't blame it on you and will replace them
