Yeah probably Dark Side Of The Moon. I just watched the making of DSOTM last night, the things they did on the album for so ahead of their time its amazing.
My candidates. There are millions of brillant ones, but these ones are just timeless. Even if IV isn't my favourite Zep, it's just indescribably good. Same goes for Dark Side, Tommy, the Lamb and Taab.
The Wall was good, but DSOTM was Pink Floyds breakthrough CD. The Wall was made after they were famous and just doesn't have the heart that DSOTM has. As well, DSOTM reached number 1 on the charts without a single being released.
i just like the wall i think dark side of the moon is played to much and everyone was saying that.. the wall has two full cds of heaven.. the wall is such a great cd so thats the best ever cd(my opinion)
Pink Floyd-Darkside of the Moon
Alice in Chains-MTV Unplugged
The Beatles-Revolver
Bob Marley-Legend
Del the Funkee Homosapien-Future Development
Led Zeppelin-House of the Holy
Modest Mouse-the Moon and Antarctica
Notorious BIG-Ready to die
Outkast-Aquemini
RJD2-in rare form
The wall is good and all, but has some songs that are kind of lulls in the cd.
Dark Side is more of a complete album, front to back almost like a single song.
Neither of those are my favorite floyd album, but are their "best" success wise.
My favorites:
Moon and Antarctica - Modest Mouse
Aquemini - Outkast
Atom Heart Mother - Pink Floyd
Animals - Pink Floyd
Houses of the Holy - Led Zeppelin
All Things Must Pass - George Harrison
