AR5 vs. ARV all around

i know this should be in ski equiptment, but it didnt get the recongnition it deserved.
im 5'5 145lbs, and i was considering this year AR5 and the ARV, i ski 70% park 30% anywere else. i know the ar5 is probly the sickest park ski, but how would it be compared to the arv in park? i know the arv would be great anywere else, but how would the ar5 do. would the wider ski would be better for stomping landings?? thanks.
and also, should i get the 165 or 175 arv, the 170, or 176 ar5.

The ar5 is actualy an all mountain ski, the Thalls are the park ski. Get the ar5s. If you are still growing get the 176, if your done get 170s.

it is a good all mountain ski, but id say the arv is probably better. its wider and it will be a ton better in powder and backcountry stuff, and its not too wide to spin and use in the park and stuff. there are alot of people using the vicious this year as their only ski, and thats even bigger. plus wider skis are alot more fun.

but the ar5 is still a really really good ski, id definatly reccomend that too, but i think the arv would be alittle better. but you cant go wrong with either.

are the arv's a little to flexy for jumps. the main reason for the arv is that i really wanna get into more bc stuff this year, and i feel like if i get the ar5 i might be shootin myself in the foot. but if i dont ride much b/c, then i m probly just stuck w/ a wide ski. AH!

I used ar5s in powder all year last year, they were wonderful.

yeah if you want to ride more bc this year then definatly get the arv. and for jumps the arv will be still be really good for jumps, it's pretty much designed for bc jumps and stuff like that. even if you dont do much bc it will still be really good, theres nothing wrong with wide skis, i skied my gottamas in the park all the time last year and i loved them. the width on the arv's is perfect for all around.

Not to mention that we're talking about the smaller ARV's here people which aren't really that wide. He might get 165s yo.
165cm= 89mm waist
175= 92mm waist
185= 95mm waist

If i was him i would get 175, im planning on gettin 185 and im 5'7-8"

ARV's are pimpin' the flex is great, they hold up well in the park, but if you ski mainly park and groomers, get ar5's.. 170's or 176's... otherwise a 175 ARV.
