You know as much as i hate liberal freaks that dont seem to sympathize with victims of 9/11 and dont endorse the eye for an eye idea as i do, i still have to laugh. i love bush, but man he is out to kill...its hilarious reading the headlines cause he seriously is itching to the bone to go to war with saddam. ever move the iraq take seems to be a reason to bomb the hell out of them. its great. if they scratch their backs bush thinks they are signaling an attack on the world. its pretty funny. go bush.

nothing you say or do matters, the dovernment will continue to make its own decisions. but no one decision will really make that big of an impact. you guys act like everything that happens matters and the truth is that none of it does as long as you live like you want now everything will stay the same. america isn't some third world country and it will not become one over night.

I'm really not that worried (I guess) because we got through 8 years or Reagan in a much more unstable world scene and we aren't in as worse of a recession as we were during Reagan/Voodoo economics....

All I'll say is that I hope you don't really believe that, I've come pretty far in the skiing industry and it is all because of what i've done, the grades I've gotten in school are because I've worked for them, the money in my pocket is there because my ass worked for it so fuck you in saying that nothing I say or do matters. You know what the problem with democrats is? (Someone is gonna kick me in the nuts for this) They're living in the past, over the past 30 years America has developed into the dominant global power and American policy effects people everywhere. Back in the day we never would have worried about Iraq developing NBC weapons, 'cause it wouldnt have affected us. But now, terrorists could do ANYTHING if the really wanted to and thats a scary concept. So we need to get rid of terrorists and the countries that allow them to reside there. That is modern day 'American intrest,' and it is my belief that at this point in time we do not have to serve as police for the world, but instead go to fight for our own interests.

why does taking the terrorists out outweigh giving them no reason to hate? I'm sorry but you don't live in a world where there are 300 million americans and 300 terroists that have to be killed. killing a terrorist really doesn't solve the problem, sure you'll get revenge, but there are more people that hate america than those that like it. it's only a matter of time before the group of kids on welfare gang up and steal the fat kids icecream. (just putting it in terms that bush can understand)

and bush is stupid. There's almost no debate, call him a hero or a strong leader or whatever you like but smart is something he is not.

I agree that bush is pretty fucking dumb, but the people who work with him, his advisors, are some of the most brilliant political minds ever. Not give them a reason to hate? They only hate us because we have a different way of life. They are far more religious and believe that we are materialistic. Corporate imperialism doesnt help either...anyway...rambling on and on. anyway the post that I had put all that work into said basically that I was going to say the exact same thing Svhucker said. also that there was an interview with some educated Iraqies and they said that they hated Sadam but they also hated they way the US is treeting them. they said that all the us is doing is hurting the inocent civialians of Iraq and if it is not something directly be to only sadam that it should not be done.

yeah we're talking about international politics here not 'how far I've got in the ski industry'. Also alot of you really need to expand your horizons read or experience a little more about globalization and the ability to define a 'sustainable economy' because what your saying is preschool. 'Bush is the man', I know you want to be patriotic or whatever but the fact remains if the west does not change the Earth is done by the time our children turn 35. Also 'terrorism' is bullshit. Look at what the CIA has done and tell me who the terrorists are. We are economic fundamentalists whereas the middle eastern system is Islamic fundamentalism. They drop bombs indiscretely this could be interpreted as either, A) they're fucking dumb or b) they don't give a fuck.or c) they're attention seeking .We on the other hand go into countries and fund military coups which override democracy. Nicaragua for example. Right before the whole Contra thing the right wing had only 3.5 % of the vote (election stat) yet the U.S. backed the right to defeat the 'commies' a government for much needed healthcare, education and land reform. You don't need to agree with me on this because this has nothing to do with my opinion, this is how it is so don't bother arguing about it.

I would like to know what this 'better' solution is. Its up to the government to decide? The government is a representation of the people, so in effect it is up to the people to decide. Please do tell me, what is the better solution. That is about the worst thing to think, no matter where you stand on the political scale- 'just let the government figure it out.'

This may be slightly off topic, but if for those of you that think Bush is a moron, take a look at Cretien. (Canadas PM in case you werent aware.) At least Bush has the interest of his country in mind. Now this may seem bad, to say, as this idealism might not neccasarily take into account what happens to other nations in his (the USs) quest for betterment. In the end the US has the power to make the rest of the world listen, and I for one am glad that the US is the country that is doing this (this is a whole new topic, however.) However, Cretien is more concerned with how the rest of the world feels about him, and Canada, and not how Canadians feel about Canada (eg Kyoto). This inturn has given Canada a reputation for being weak, and spineless. Now we might be a good country globally, but economically we keep getting weaker. When we open our mouths, we might have good things to say, that basically is more or less along the same idealogical path as the USs, but no one listens.

I for one am proud to be a Canadian but I would take Bush over Cretien anyday.

I like what Kamikaze said in an earlier thread. About the US barging in on another country's affairs. America seems to have taken on the role of an international police force. Other countries have the right to have differences and even conflicts with one another. Having the US jumping all over the place like this is pretty bloody stupid. One day it will all come crashing down. Just wait until China gets pissed, then there'll be some real trouble. And Korea, I think the US has a whole shit load more to worry about that little old Iraq.
