Universal sponsoring snowboard movie

I just saw the preview for a snowboard movie called first descent i don't know if anyone has seen anything about this or heard about it but it said it was a Universal Studio's movie. I don't know what to think because it looks like its coming to theaters and that it proves that skiing has a long ways to catch up to snowboarding because it looks to be a snowboard movie. Can someone confirm what i am say is true or not?

yea bro i just saw that preview too, it looks relativly legit, seems like a movie both about the revolution of snowboarding and also a trip to alaska with terje, shaun white, hannah teter (who will kill it in AK im sure) and a couple of other legends in snowboarding, but yea universal is making it and is gonna be in theaters, this just shows again how far we are behind snowboarding.

yeah it is i was like "whoa" no way even if its not skiing the fact that a snowsport is in theaters is cool

personally i think its kinda cheesy
shawn white is so played out and they had to put him in there just to get the general pubic's attention

thats not even the real teaser, they showed this one of that movie at the Meeting, and after it had the First Descent title it had the sickest sequence of sick snowboarding and not them like walking up mountains...

yea i seen it already looks sweet. i also other parts that wernt on the trailer that they showed a clip on the dew tour and had some cool parts

the trailer I saw on TV was sick, it showed Shaun White hit this pillow, and righ when he did all the snow on it cracked at once causing an avalanche and hes riding it out. soooo sick.
