i dont want 2 rain on ur parade, but i cant stand that boot. its so sloppy compared to other boots, even in the same salomon lineup.

maybe its a little better w/ the custom fit, tho, so good luck...

check it out... the 1080 foil is supposed to fit my style of foot perfectly, just trust me on this one. so i decided to see what all the hype was and try a pair on. at first, i really liked it, really nice flex, fit was good, but after i spent ~10 mins in the boot, it began to feel sloppy, mainly in the toebox. with this in mind, i couldnt begin to imagine wut the boot would feel like half way through the season. granted, i do alot of stuff outside the park, so this really isnt the best boot for me, but my overall conclusion is that the 1080 foil could never fit my skiing style, as it just has a poor grip around the foot and way too much flex. again, i realize that flex is the point of this boot, but a crappy fit is not. i guess wut i mean is: there are better boots out there and for a similar price.

thats a lot of rambling, but i hope u get the point...

im going to be getting them soon so its good to know that pele think theyre good. they probably seem sloppier becasue they are designed to be softer and better for the park fool.i def agree with custom fit boy.

softer has nothing to do with the fit. the boot fits like a bucket, plain and simple. you really need a girthy foot to have that boot actually fit you how a boot should fit. if you are looking for something in that category that actually fits like a boot should, check out the lange freeride 80s or the nordica speedmachine 8s. the langes are an overall narrower fit, while the nordicas have a little wider forefoot but still a nice snug heel pocket.

not to stiff, i like my pro models better. I got the ones from two seasons ago new for 200 bucks, and its basically the same boot as this year.

except i didnt save the .002 ounces of weight the honeycomb shit gets rid of.

this boot is amazing. so much flex it's unbelievable. these kids that say it's "not tooooo stiff" need to strengthen their scrawny legs. the boot is magnificent.
