Ya how was it everyone, I had work and couldnt make it. Could I have found a seat anyway, if I had come at 730?

No prolly not, there were people sitting on the floor in the aisles, I think there was a snowboard premier before TBC premiered and no one left their seats after the first show so we kinda got assed out

Yeah, I was sitting on a shelf in the back. The movie was sick, even though it skipped a lot.

Agreed, the intro was quite odd. It's okay, though, 'cuz the skiing was hella sick wit' it

i was not a fan of the intro or the music but the skiing was the best i have ever seen

I didn’t care for the intro either but I believe it was a worthy experiment and they almost pulled it off but came up a little short. I thought the music was good but that’s personal preference I guess. But it is so good to see a movie push the artistic side of the culture. I feel that any major filming outfit is capable of getting good footage and editing it in a functional way but the artistry/interpretation/perspective can be very different. TBC is a move in the direction I want; it may have some faults but defiantly fresh.

way sick, i'd give it a 10 all around except for a few things.. was something missing from Symms'and Ashley Battersby's segments?? or was it just me... and i thought the intro was kinda whack. but wow there was some amazing footage, and sweet digital effects.

how bout how they didn't even have segements, Symms had like threee jumps one in the crash section, one in his "segment" and an syncrized backflip with jon olsson.
As for ashley, i think she had one of those cool spin around intros and then it cut to the credits. Pretty sweet segment! hopefully it will get some awards or something.
Oh and by the way john symms sucks

dude why wouldn't ashley have filmed with them? i hope it was just a messup and that she actually does have a decent segment because i'm interested to see what she was throwing down last year. definitely mad respect for her incorporating style into womens skiing.

I saw her at the ramps last summer and she was killing the cork9 tails, hopefully she had the balls to take it to the snow.

What was up with the DVD player "overheating"
Note for next year: get a water-cooled DVD player. Sick movie though. Impressive schwag give away. Music could have been mixed up to vary the pace. Tanner killed it though.

do any shops in the area have the dvd in? i went to decade and they didnt have it yet. I refuse to buy it online ( the ups guy that delivers to my place is a fuckface which is one of the reasons) and would much rather support a local shop, but dammit I need instant gratification.

Our Ogden Location received the TBC shipment today. I would say that our SLC location will be getting it very soon if not tomorrow (10/25/05).
So drop a line to the guys in SLC (355-7588)tomorrow and see if they received it. If not then request a transfer from the store up north.

basicly it couldn't handle the bit rate of the burnt dvd. it is in this case and if it gets too hot it can't keep up. it happened to me as well last year.

I wrote "Quite possibly the hottest shit of the year..." in reference to this thread and comments that were being thrown around that evening. And then Chris put it in the subtitle too... Are you mad?

I thought the same thing. I saw Ashley a few days after and asked her why. she said that she had the intro filmed and it took like 3 hours standing out in the cold, but a little while after that she broke her hand and just didnt get enought footage...or something. But they kept her intro in because she went through standing out in the cold and they didnt want that to be for nothing. Sick movie by the way. I'd say probably the best filming/editing i have seen.
