i almost fell asleep during this film yesterday. charles gagnier has the only good section. the rest is traveling and documentary type shit. plehouse says they dont look at other films as they made theirs cuz they dont like influence, they need to! it was horrible. i dont think anyone should see it

I thought it was refreshing compared to the usaul ski flicks that all folow the same format. whiteshine made me understand skiing in a different way that I had never thought of it before.I enjoied the soundtrack because it was different than the usaul rap, and I liked how it wasn't really dived into indivihual skier sections.

I was very dissapointed in whitshine. It is, indeed a very good movie, but I'm still dissapointed. I'm dissapointed at how Rinfret, Larose, Belan, and Iannick didn't have much footage. I really like those guys and they all had really good segments in redtape, especially Larose and Rinfret. Iannick had some amazing shots as well. But, whitshine was lacking in that it didn't show enough of these guys. Apart from that, I don't really like some of the music. The song in the le massif seg is so slow and the singing isn't good. I hate to say this stuff about this movie cause I love Plehouse and the rest of their movies are sick. But, geeze, I just don't like that song.
Maybe I just need to watch it more. each time I watch it, I like it more and more. I think I just need to get used to the music.
I will applaud plehouse for the best use of random objects to jib. The junkyard segment was absolutely amazing.
The bonuses are great with shining white shine at more than 1 hour long and the bonus footage being 30 minutes long.
So, whiteshine is no where near being the worst movie. I guess I went into it, thinking it would be the best. I'm just dissapointed not to see much of rinfret and iannick.

if you want to go beat off to ski porn, go get an MSP film. if that's your thing, whatever. if you want to see skiing and the culture represented, see stuff like Whiteshine. it's like in mtn biking- NWD series vs. The Collective. both cool in their own way, but they have different target audiences. if you don't like it, fine, whatever, but "the worst ski movie ever made"? no, that's probably the one you're trying to make, sketchline.

DO NOT LISTEN TO T3SHELLVENOM!!!!!!! this is by far one of the most retarded things i have ever herd. Whiteshine was one, if not the most creative and artsy film i have ever seen. I found that this film would really appeal to people that have been around skiing for a while and just wanna see the artsy fun lifestyle side of skiing rather than the hardcore best riding. It may not have the most progressive tricks thrown in it but films like this will progress our sport farther than a switch 3 over chads ever could. I think what plehouse captured with this film was amazing, not only does it make you crave to go skiing, but when it ends it makes you beg for more. So in conclusion you need to have a far more open mind befors you starting making wild random hate threads about a movie that really couldnt be too much better.

i think he means that the film is more progressive right now than a switch 3 over Chad's would be since our sport is progressing so quickly that we're already past the first switch trick over Chad's. switch stuff went wild over Chad's last year and will probably continue this year (and far into the future, i hope), but a well made film can be far more influential than one trick over one jump. sure, it could be argued that Candide finally making the gap was far more progressive than any film ever made, but as of right now, today, this season, a single film has the potential to be far more progressive than a single trick being done. that all might change this season, though. who knows...?

whiteshine was the first ski movie i ever saw...josh bryant gave it to me at jibij in boulder and i watched it literally 100 times over the course of like a month. thats really when my freeskiing life started.
