My old ones broke and I need new ones. Just can't live without music in school, on trips and so on. So I saw an ad in a skiing magazine on these http://www.skullcandy.com/product3.php?urlLocation=crushers&id=498 . Anyone have any thoughts about those? I don't want that people come and tell me to lower the volume because it's disturbing them, so they have to be "sealed" so only I hear the music. Those look cool too
sony breaks alot...i have the skullcrushers and they are epic..your whole chest shakes when you crank up the bass...they are most defanitely a worthy investment..plus they sponsor skiers and alot of events, and are part of the scene for sure
please continue to listen to music on $10 headphones for the rest of your life. you don't deserve to know what your music ACTUALLY sounds like anyway.
Red Dragon - i've never seen those phones you linked up, but they look cool. spending between $65-$100 will get you a decent pair of closed ear headphones. sony dj ones are good, pioneer hdj-1000 and technics rp-dh1200's are good bets too.
or you could just forego that new pair of skis and buy a pair of sennheisers instead.
Sony MDR-V150's I think are the ones I have. Not sealed, so you're gonna have to turn 'em down a little..... but they're $20 and the entry level DJ monitor phones Sony makes. Come with the 1/8th adapter too if you've got DJ stuff or a guitar amp.
I love 'em. Best $20 I ever spent.
Sounds like you might be looking a little higher end though, but think of it this way: $20 on phones = more $$$ for ski movies!
If anyone has the Skullcandy Skull crusher headphones tell me how they are. Does the bass and vibration get annoyhing? Can you turn them all the way down?
i have the skullcrushers, and as i said they are the best thing i ever bought...they have full adjustment of the bass, so if you dont want to be bumpin you dont have to..they are super comfy and are sealed super well...if you want good quality sound and stylish pair of headphones they are a solid bet...also not that its crucial, but if your into supporting a smaller company that has anything to do with the ski industry they are really the way to go
i have a pair of MDR V700s (the sony DJ ones), and they are fuckin epic. granted, they sound like a decent pair of headphones when your usin them with an ipod or something, but if you actually hookl them up to a good stereo they will blow your mind. fuckin indescribable. soooo loud and powerful, and zero destortion. and they arnt all bass. they reproduce the highs awesome too. they are fuckin rad
Get the BOSE noice canceling ones, They are relly expensive, but they work really well, and they have increadible sound. I don't have them but my friend does i listend to them for a while. Really Good!
they are really sick but they break after 6 months or so. my friend i sposored by scullcandy, so he's gonna hook me up with a pair of the ones you are looking at :D
If you want good sound, Sony is not your best bet. Their high end models are decent, but way overpriced for the sound you get.
Etymotics and Ultimate Ears are pretty much the kings of the earbud industry. Listen to them before you buy. Shure makes qual phones too.
Sennheiser also has their shit on lock for closed ear headphones. I have a pair of Etymotics and Sennheisers. But if all you care about is looking good in them, then look at the Sony's, just don't be mad when they sound like garbage.
Those Skullcandy's are interesting. I'll have to check out those Skullcrushers too.
I just ordered the skullcandy skullcrushers yesterday. I've tried them out and the bass on them is sick. I found them for 30 dollars on Amazon. I know thats not really supporting the company but I don't have 80 bucks lying around.
