Wooden rail

I find a nice wooden rail near my home. I'd like to make it this winter, can someone give me some advice for wooden rail?

just wax it down and make sure it is slippery and then make sure there are no like burs in it that an edge will catch on

i have a flat down wooden rail out in my backyard that i slide all the time. Go out and get yourself some butchers wax and put at least two coats on it they down have to be that thick. thats all that i did and it works fine!

oh i frgot... get the clear paste, the other white stuff i tried... it gets the rail sticky after a while

just go to like ace hardware or any thing like that they'll have it. i have a down rail and i have a flat rail too

buy a brick of candle wax from a candle store. pretty cheap, and doesnt put weird colors on the rail. make sure that your sliding the rail on a really really cold day too, otherwise, you'll dig in

wood slides great when its frozen without anything else. if you do make a nice wooden rail make it outta a hard wood the best choice would be oak really hard an pretty cheap pine is too soft and youll split it open

If it's wood then jsut make sure itis smooth and not all disjointed so that you can actually slide across it.

Make sure that you look at the rail carefully each day that you go out cause if its a little warmer it'll slide really slow and if you're not ready you'll eat shit
