i've actually used both, ipods are pieces of shit. I had an Ipod and it broke, my friends dell dj still works fine and it's been beat to hell. I'm gona buy a dj later this month.
DJ for sure. I got one and it kicks ass. All my friends have ipods and i dont know one person that hasnt had a problem with theirs. Plus the 20g is like $200(on sale, but they put it on sale all the time so just wait if it isnt right now) and the 20g ipod is $300. No question which one to go with.
plus, if u use windows media player for your stuff its so much easier to just put in ur DJ and take ur stuff straight from that. My mom got a shuffle and i put itunes on my comp and u have to convert your whole library and it said it'd take more than a day to get it done on my comp. And i only have like just over 1000 songs. I just said fuck it and got myself a dj.
its basically what ever you feel like getting...ipod vs. dell is just like ford vs. chevy ... just pick one hah! by the way i have a ipod but the battery is like dead so i gotta get a new one that is a downer about em heard that happens alot...my bros..Creative Zen is awesome
i've had my ipod for over a year and it's still going just fine. it really all just comes down to personal preference and what your budget is like. if your ipod eats it in the first year, they'll replace it for free (just do as much as possible to make it look like a manufacturing defect) and another 2 years on top of that if you drop $70 for applecare.
DELL DJ its a really dope system i have one and really love it the store just as much music as the i pod are easier to format music with the cost less dell has amazing coustmer support and they also really aren't that much bulkier than the i pod their the size of an ipod 40g they also make i minny which is supurb
I've had iPods for years, no problems at all.
Nano is perfect for the hill since there's no drive.
Dell DJ's are too nerdy...they just don't have any cool factor at all.
thats what my friends kept trying to tell me but it does take a long time and i dont know why. I have a good comp. But i dont care anymore i just use my dell and dont worry about it.
ipods suck, break, freeze, and made the cost of your average mp3 player double what it was before they came out.
dell dj for sure, ipods are good if you're too stupid to use a real mp3 player and want something to match your pretty new purse and your brand new $200 white shoes! such a good deal!
The creative zen micro can't even be compared to the iPod nano...they're in a totally different class. Ipod nano is the only one in its class, and the zen micro is in the small HD class. The dell pocket DJ is there as well. The regular dell DJ is a tank...seiously. Its freaking huge. By volume, the new 30gb ipod (299$) is actually slighly smaller than zen micro (5gb, $179), and a little larger than the dell Pocket DJ (5gb, $179). The regular Dell DJ (30gb, 259) is 75% bigger (by volume) than the 30gb iPod. The dell also has LESS battery life (12hrs vs 14) than the iPod, no color screen, no video capabilities...If you are in the market for a full size, i think the iPod wins hands down. If you're in for a smaller one, the Dell Pocket DJ is priced well. than the nano and is relatively small, but is still twice as large as a nano.
Everybody in my family has an iPod (i have two- a 40gb and a shuffle). When i first got my hands on each one, I made sure i charged it up all the way and ran it all the way down. I do this once a month and the battery life is still really good on all of them. My 40gb once had a hard drive failure, and i sent it back and got a new one within a week. Apple has really good service.
