heres what scottish ski guru rick hutchings said: "The Elizabeth is the big surprise from the magician that is Eric Pollard, who stated, ‘I want my skis to ride the same as my snowboard’…. consider it done! In a 172cm only, this ski has tremendous edge hold at all speeds, on or off piste. One continuous flex through the full length of ski provides the smoothest ride that you are likely to experience in a fat ski. This is nothing short of a masterpiece."

so does pollard have like 3 pro models now? prophet, elizibeth, and his original pro model.

Well the original pro model isn't in production anymore, and hte prophet doesn't exactly have his name all over it. He just influenced and helped design it.

how are they in the park. heavy to throw around or just fine bc of the short length?

there actually a park ski, just a unique one. its really light so the 110 waist doesnt make spinning harder like on pow skis. the length is just because there more like snowboards, which are shorter. but, i hear there will be a 182 next year

^everything that i've read that wasn't stated on here has said that it's a pow jib stick. this is the only place that i've heard of it being a park ski, so i think that's just based off of hear-say and not fact

^ i THINK pollard designed it as a BC ski, judging from the huge width. but the sidecut and length are more parkish. So if you can handle 110 mm on a rail they would probably really good for park.

they r a park ski not a bc ski at all. i mean if your a short fucker and need 172 pow skis then sure u could use em for that but they were design by a 6ft 160lb man who uses a 150mm underfoot for bc booters so i dont think he had any intention for them to be used as such

no personal opinions do not count. if they did you could say anything about any ski because it's your opinion. you could say the prophet 130's are a park ski but that's not they're intended use.

It's a different turn than you are used to, so they will be different. I thought that they were super fun, especially in soft snow. AND at 172cm they are way nible in tight spots.
ALSO, they are only "heavy" when they are caked with snow, which with the extra girth can be a lot of snow.

does the fact that its only 172 and soft not make it obvious its a park ski. Pollard was here in winter and thats all he skied in the park. the specs back me up.

but the dimensions lead me to think its a powder ski 139-110-137

^nope. they are pollard's park promodel. even though they are that fat. Pollard's promodel for powder is the prophet.

when ever you see shots of pollard, like on the anon site, he is on the elizabeths when he is hitting park features, but he's on the prophet 150 [with a base that looks like the elizabeth] when he's hitting BC booters.

It doesnt matter what they are "for" if you have enough money for them chances are you have enough money (or conections) to get any kind of ski you like. If you dont know what they are like and want to before you buy them just wait to demo them in the powder and park. Other peoples opinions wont help you much because other people are not physically the same as you. I think they are the most versitle ski ever so maybe ill try to find a cheap pair.

just because a ski is fat doesnt mean it is for powder. pollards just being innovative. the weight makes is easy to spin but rail balance is way better. definately a park ski.

just because it is a short ski doesn't mean it's for park

There is no specific ski for a specific use.
Some people like long skis for park, some people like short.
Some people like long skis for powder, some like short.
Wide skis can have advantages in both park and powder, some prefer a narrower or wider ski in each.
So just shut it about "who's right", becaues noone is. Fucking babies.

Just watch the video on the line site about the elizabeths / Pollard himself tells you what they are for / Also it's personal preference as we are all starting to take fatter skis into the park / but it is a backcountry jib ski and looks like it would be fun to bounce powder turns on / for straight lining and big cliffs they recommend the prophet

yeah, no shit. now the new line site is up, go watch the vid, pollard says its a great powder ski that is made to also hit up the park while you are skiing back to the lift.
