MSP haven't changed other than topsheet, and there being built in a new factory. The supermodels, and a stiffer version that will be a little more stubborn in the park, but better for straightlining your local hill.

compared to the VCT they're a stiffer and skinner ski, the flex is a tad softer than the vokl karmas... basically they're a relatively stiff ski

a relatively stiff ski...very stable...doesn't turn as fast as some people would be led to believe...tail tips kinda tiny...edges crack SO easily and yeah...i had them for two seasons and they were alright...find something else more worth you rmoney though

ive had about 15 days on the supermodels they are one stiff ski prob the stiffist twin i've ever skied. Like someone said short tail tip and great for the straight line. not a ski i'd own if it was the only ski in my arsenal. but a great ski for the back bowls and the straight line!

what would be a better "one-ski-quiver" the MSP or Armada ARV?

Equally one-ski quiver steeze if you ask me. The question becomes what length you like.

Same question... minus the "one-ski-quiver" part. I still have my AR5s from last season... but I want something that will: be a little more stable at higher speeds, float in a little powder, not take dives in churned up snow. Basically, I already have a park ski, so I want a setup for all-mountain that I can still ski switch and hit an occasional kicker. MSP or ARV?

The only change to the MSP is the topsheet, it features new BOMBtop material, less likely to chip away. And yes, the MSP is the ultimate all-mountain twin. You can take it anywhere. The SuperModel is an entirely different beast.

well, the 185 ARV is probably a better length for me than the 180 or 187 MSP, cause i feel like I fall right in between those sizes... i guess the main thing i'm wondering is how they are on the groomed... the MSP is narrower, but the ARV has more sidecut. I don't need one ski to do everything, cause i have park skis and all mountain skis... but i do want one ski that does everything, because i like to get comfortable on one set of sticks and just know that those are my go-to pair for pretty much everything... i ski Vermont mostly, but i'll be going west twice... jackson and possibly beaver creek. so yeah, i narrowed it down to either the MSP or the ARV, but if anyone's got any advice to push me either way, that'd be appreciated. I'm 5'11", 180lbs. i ski hard.

are the tails really as low as everyone's been saying, or are the still good for switch? also, how are the edges.

There is approx. 2cm difference between the tip and the tail. The edges, 2.2 mm Rockwells. Ramaley competes on the MSP 180.
