backyard rail

to completely ride the rail end to end you'll probably would have to have decent speed, but it cant be that hard to get up on. maybe just build a little snow ramp to get up there.

well its pvc so i wont be sliding extremely fast and it is just flat doesnt go up or down or anything

is it at an angle or flat? and what the base for it?

use a milk carton thingy or a recycling box full of snow to make the rail on an angle. just so u dont need a lot of inrun to do the rail. wait. do americans have recycling? re......cy....cle...?

I'm building one today...its just gonna be short and flat..only likke 1ft off the ground...I dont wanna make something big cause I have no slant in my yard and we haven't been getting too much snow this year...right now theres like 3 inches outside though

well, the thing is that you have to pop into it, so you need a little kicker just before it. you should make a little ( 3 feeet hight) in run just before.

no its easy with little snow for home rails. i got a rail like 3.5ft high and 10 feet long along with an angled one with from 3.5ft to about 1ft high 10ft long. it was bodaysous riding them for the first time last year.

alright i'll justr let you know what we've done in our town......we have two houses with good rails......on has a ramp built from the fence that goes down.....and you still don't get enough speed for the 1 foot high 8 foot long flat rail.....you just go so slow..........then we got a 20 foot long shotgun rail and the ramp for that is built on stairs. this seems to work real well........you jsut push off hard with your poles and you cruise.......an in ramp is a good idea man. you're gonna need mad speed for the rail, especially cuz it's flat. if it had a little decline to it, it would help out. but it slows you down........just my 2 cents
