I wanna here what you guys think about seth... i have only seen him in war, so lets here about him in that preferrably, but i found his part to kinda... suck...
seth morrison was one of the original guys pushing the sport to the limits he is an aazing skier however his part in war was probably lacking just because he only filmed with them a few times from what i was told but if u were to go back and watch ski movie 3 or focused you will be blown away by this guy is is really an amazing rider and the original ambassador for the sport.
I havent seen War or Stars, Skis and Hucks, but besides those 2, I don't think he has ever topped his ski movie 3 performance. That being said, its also not his fault. He had shitty weather and snow conditions as well as being injured, in both focused and yearbook, and still had a decent segment in focused.
You also have to take into consideration that he is what, 31 now? Taking all those huge impacts year after year isn't easy on the body thats for sure. Seth is a freakin' god, and I believe, given the conditions he will continue to amaze.
He is a sick skier, but a little bit of a huckdoll, if the man could stomp like Hugo he'd be alot sicker than he already is...but I think his days are over.
U think his part sucks because u dont appreciate good skiing. All u wana see is gnarly tricks. Hes fuckin an insane skier, did u see the final line he throws down att he end of his segment. Probably one of his sickest lines evr.
well since you said you only saw him in War I think he assumed you hadn't seen him in any other movies. But seriously he is the man. He's the best skiier in the world right now in my opinion. Definatly the biggest balls. And most frequently changing hair colour
ya i thought his rodeo 7 was rather hucked, but mad props for doing that shit, i love him; he used to be my fav skier but now im more into sage, dana, and jeremy nobis *and about seth being 31, jermey nobis is over 31 i think and he still is fucking charging.*
maybe if you looked at the technical aspect of his skiing and what he does between the cliffs which is ski, don't just look at what he does in the air or what cliff he drops
seth is awesome, I have loved him since like 2001 when all you bitches were talking shit about him. he is a great PERSON i have met him breifly and it was like meeting mother teresa, he is fukcing awesome. oh yeah and seth ski move 3 part changed my fucking life, i saw the premire in boulder, he was there and when he did the first back in his seg(sooooooo smooth) everyone screamed thier fucking eyes out. i have a.d.d , som me sitting here and typing this shows how much respect i have for him. GET PISSED AND DESTROY!
if your talking to me kid with the fox icon about just looking at him off cliffs, well one of my fav skiers is jeremy nobis, and he rarely hits a big rock, and as far as skiing a line i think nobis has morrison beat on that.
Seth is 33. dude's gettin old by the sport's standards, yet he's still one of the most progressive big mountain skiers out there. there isn't a single person in the world who can look at nearly any line and say "i can ski that" and have the credentials (and the balls) to back up a statement like that. eastvailhucker skis with him, from what i understand, so it would be cool to get his opinion on the man. one of the dudes i work with rode up the lift with him at Whistler a couple years ago and said that Seth is one of the chillest and funniest guys he's met. definitely my favorite skier and a guy i hope to see on the scene for at least a few more years.
ya soory guys... i didn't make that clear at all... i have seen him in the ski movies and then to war... just like after seeing him in ski movie 3 hucking stuff... made his part in war look kinda mellow and lame... but yeah thankx for the opinions
The only things I can say is Seth could be having a shit day and you could be having an your absolute best day ever and you would still be eating his tail spray.
Have you ever watched someone attack a line with the same fluidity over and over even if the line or the snow is shit---thats Seth!
Its not only on the slopes, he kills it on the bike...he flows lines like it aint no thang!
and most importantly he is who he is. He's not some made up character, he loves what he does and that all that matters.
I wish that a lot peeps here would realize theres more out there than a park and a BC booter.
Im sure he'll be skiing at a certain area in colorado this week.
The only thing I can say about Seth, no matter if you think he rips or not, is that all he cares about is skiing. Skiing is Seth's bottom line and I've seen him go fucking crazy because he can't ski due to injuries. Not a pretty sight.
If he wasn't pro, he'd be working at a ski area for his pass and skiing every single fucking day, no matter what.
This is a fact.
And that kind of passion everyone here can relate to and respect.
I think one thing that may explain his relativly conservative skiing in war was the super high avalanche danger when they were their. If u look in skeeze there were pictures of him and jp in avalanches on terrain that i never thought would have slid. They were there after a really strong storm cycle so lots of avalanches. Think how bad it would be to eat shit on a backflip then be covered by a slide.
all the kiddos you mentioned are a sick ass bunch. these people really know how to ski unlike park rats. and its so cool that their over 30 and still goin strong. seth is like what, 31 right? hes probably still got the most balls out of all the park rats, freeskiers, anyone.
this is straying from the topic, but his whole life story is amazing...he leaves college to ski at crested butte, gets 2nd 3 times in a row at the freeskiing championships there...than goes on to get filmed skiing, however, almost dies in a freak helichopter accident, then goes on to make some of the most progressive big mountain skiing to date. He is one of the best....and 2nd 3 times at competition shows his technicality, he's not just a hucker...and many thought he got robbed of 1st.
