can i use the i-pod as a portable hard drive to use with my helmet cam.
i relize this may be a bit much to ask.

well they have a new video ipod, but i doubt you will be able to use it as a drive straight from a camera.

Eh, depends. Does the helmet cam process the video into a file and can it recognize the ipod as a drive and handle it's file structure while recording to it? Probalby not.
iPods are cool, but they're not computers.
If you can hook up any firewire hard drive to your helmet cam and have it work, then yes it will work with the iPod.
