weird if u type the little less than sign then type 3 to make a little heart it deletes w.ev u type next, what i meant to type was "i heart death cab for cutie" didnt work though...
i went on a craze and download all their albums the other day. im obsessed. its really chill stuff to listen to and im suprised i like it cause im not usually into the whole emotional depressing type music
That's because the "little less than sign" is the symbol for starting an HTML tag, so everything is invisible until you type a "little greater than sign". It's pretty much the beginning of coding for a website...
Death Cab is sick, i don't like their new album as much as Transatlanticism but "Brothers On A Hotel Bed" is definately a really sick song.
I just saw them at the fillmore in denver. It was a good show, but would have been better if I had taken a girl instead of one of my guy friends who likes them, but isn't that into them. He got bored and started complaining about 3/4 of the way through. I had a great time nonetheless. There was a large amount of very young girls that kept asking me to buy them drinks.
They have such a weird name but i really like them. music is awesome
I do believe it’s true
That there are roads left in both of our shoes
If the silence takes you
Then I hope it takes me too
So brown eyes I hold you near
Cause you’re the only song I want to hear
A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere
I didn't really like Plans that much. Transatlanticism was way better. There is some faster stuff mixed in with the slow.
Crazy story about the song "Brothers on a Hotel Bed" on Plans. It is written about two kids who died at my school, the University of Idaho, last fall. They were riding a motorcyle while drunk and ran into a retaining wall made of railroad ties infront of their frat house. They both flew of the bike and one of them died on contact the other one died the next day in the hospital. Like a week later Death Cab came to the UofI for their concert and met the boys parents. They told them what had happened to their sons and that they had been huge fans of the band. So death Cab wrote the song about them. If you listen to the song you can kind of hear the whole story of them and how they died. It's crazy. You seriously can't planthat song on campus or people start to cry and freak out. So do drink and drive.
I used to think Death Cab was just another whiny/punkish/pop group. I was way off; Death Cab is really sick, really creative, and very very good. Plans is a sick album. If your skiing something mellow its good music to ride to.
Can you explain the parts "December sun is setting" and "even landlocked lovers yearn for the sea like navy men"? I'm guessing the first one is like an analogy for the end of the year/their lives but I don't get the second one at all now.
Thanks man, and if you knew them, I'm sorry.
I feel kind of lame because I didn't start listening to their sounds earlier, but I bought the Plans cd not really knowing too much about them, than I figured out a bit about them because their music was bang on. Let me just get this cleared up.... The Postal Service is a side project that Ben Gibbard has collaborated. Correct? Actually, no need, all information gathered.
I'm not sure what that second line means. That's the only line from that verse that I don't get. Moscow, ID is landlocked but I don't think that is what is has to do with.
