how is this school, anyone know? its close to some decent hills and there are mad hotties in kelowna. How hard is it to get in and are is thre lots of partying?
lots going on in Kelowna, you got Big White 45 min away and depending where you live in Kelowna Apex (which i think is better than Big White) can be 1 and half hours away. Silver star is about 2 hours away. Look into TRU in Kamloops as well its a pretty good school with Sun Peaks 45 min away
Easy as SHIT to get into because they need students. Unfortunately, they also need profs, so I very sincerely doubt that the class quality will be anywhere near the standard of the Van campus. But that's to be expected, I suppose...
who would wanna live in Kelowna, it's truly an ugly town. Big White is awesome in the winter though, and the whole valley is pretty nice. I'd rather go to the Vancouver campus for sure.
I love Kelowna in the summer, and the Okanagan in general. So sick. But about UBC Okanagan, I researched it and thought long and hard about applying back when I did that sort of thing, but like JD implied, it looks very lacking in many areas.
Please tell me, how the educaion is now like profs. How is life there is res? how's the location in terms of downtown or places you want/need to go to. parties, girls (ratios), ect, whatever you can tell me, especially if you go there.
i was really seriously thinking of going there so i visited it and this is what i found. its really small but half the campus is under construction so in like 2 years it will be really nice. they have sick facilities and are really near sick biking and of course skiing. the town is really spread out and small and very touristy it does have a downtown but it it very far from campus you may need a friend with a car or have a car to get around easily although there is a bus system its not that great. not for everyone but if thats what your looking for go for it. plus everyone who i talked to there loved it
