Soft skis are definitely easier to butter.
Do you think width & length does matter as well?

it depends on the flex, but with the exact same ski in different lengths: the longer it is the more effort u have to put in to it to flex, but it will have more rebound (pop), but a shorter ski will flex easier, but with less rebound

I'd suggest getting a ski that is the right length and flex for you...then just adjusting your weight so you can butter on skis that are right for you...don't buy skis that are too short just for buttering.

^ why not? if he likes buttering so much im assuming hes going to try it onto rails, a softer ski is sick on rails, gives you more of a press.. if your into that kind of thing..

a good butter should be slow and pressed, so doing them on short skis would be a revert. if you dont pop off your tails its not a butter.
