'Nintendo is set to file suit against Sony next week, declaring that the Playstation brand, and all of the profits made by Sony from it's sale, belong to Nintendo. While reading over the original contract between Sony and Nintendo (Sony were to make a CD drive for the Super Nes, entitled the Playstation), a lawyer for Nintendo noticed some key wording which showed that it was Sony's responsibility to make the drive, and that they broke the contract, not Nintendo, like initially believed.

According to sources, Nintendo is almost assured a victory, gaining all the profit's made by Sony off the Playstation since its introduction in 1996. Even if Nintendo do not win outright, they are guaranteed the rights to the Playstation name, and Sony will have to immediatley change the name of their console.'

This is what will make Nintendo systems go flying from the shelves people. The 'Nintendo Playstation,' people won't know the difference, unsuspecting customers everywhere will be buying Nintendo, thinking that it's Sony. Sony is in a world of hurt.'

good. im loyal to nintendo. i hate how its cool to bash nintendo now. they make fucking amazing games, some of which may come off as sorta kiddy-ish, but games like mario are amazing. so for all of you that have shit against nintendo, go back to your behemoth xbox controllers.

yea fuck nintendo. we watched a movie in my marketing class about them and how they shut down pretty much every competitor by threatening retailers if they agreed to sell other systems. So really its nintendos fault that there are only 3 or 4 major companies.

i own a gamecube. i also think that it's the best *pure* system available. Sure there aren't a ton of games, but every single one is quality, and some of them are just plain unbelievable.

Metroid Prime is pretty much one of the best games ever. The graphics are fucking ridiculous and the gameplay is sweet.

The only reason i'd want to buy a ps2 is because EVERYONE has one and there is no shortage of games.

ohhhh, Metroid, that brings me back to early middle school and before....

yes, we've been through this before, Andy thinks the entire gaming community is filled with PS2 'fanboys' and is Xbox for life. who can argue with him tho when you can get a hub, connect 4 consoles together, and play drunken/stoned Halo battles with 16 of your closest friends. Nintendo sucks. I'm sorry. I don't even play PS2 much at all. But I do know that Gamecube's controls are quirky, heavy, and the games are mediocre at best.

ok so there are a fiew exeptions but for the most part...and also wheather you think a game is good or not is an opnion however in this case most are wide spread.

look at all the games that are better than anything you can get on game cube.
1)Vice City
2)Red Faction 2
3)World Rally Championship
4)Amped
5)Halo
6)Tribes Aireal Assault
7)that one game like GTA vice city only in London
8)Mech Assault
9)many others that I could list if I had the time or cared

I personally think PS2 is pretty boring. The graphics are pretty bad compared any of the other systems, gamecube, Xbox, and definatly PC. I had a gamecube over the summer, and its amazing. With games like Resident evil remake and 0, I have no idea how you could see it being kiddy. Metroid Prime cool as hell from the little time I've played it. True, there are good games for the PS2, such as Vice City & Metal Gear Solid 2, but I think the GC has better quality overall.

I HAVE played all those games, thats where you are wrong! Thats the sad thing. I own a PS2... or did. I sold it because I needed bindings. And I don't even OWN a gamecube, I played Metroid Prime at a friends house. It OWNS any PS2 game, or Xbox game.

Don't argue videogames with me, I'd win (I'm a huge nerd.)

For one thing, I think contra was the best shit EVER. Ps2 does have the new one which I want to play.

Most PS2 games being listed as their best games are also availible on the PC only with much better graphics and control. (Max Payne, GTA3, etc)
