It all started back in 1999, son, sittin at work, dog, bored out of my mind yet feelin slightly ambitious. My ass decided dat skiin wuz takin a definizzle turn fo' tha better, son, an' tha sport needed a core websizzle to promizzle it. Tha original site wuz as basic as they come. Naw interactivity. Naw stellar content. Nothin but a couple of profiles of some sick riders, son, an' three trick tips. (View Original Site).
A year lata', son, on a saturday afternoon in September of 2000, dog, again while sittin at work wit nothin to do, son, a decizzle wuz made dat wood change Newschoolers.com foreva. Tha site needed somethin mo'. It needed mo' content. Mo' updates. It needed to be completely interactive. So on dat sunny afternoon, son, from 20 stories above downtown Ottawa, dog, wit tha visual buzz of touriss an' mall-walkers below, son, tha new Newschoolers.com wuz born.
Tha first interactive Newschoolers.com, son, which wuz released on October 1st of 2000, dog, wuz a hit from tha day it started. Members loved tha interactivity, son, an' guess loved tha content. After only three months online, son, tha site had attracted mo' than 500 members, son, a shizzle sign of tight things to come.
As tha site continued to grow to new levels, dog, so did tha glitches in tha code. Every ol'-tyme member can remember tha days of tha re-code, son, when tha site wuz completely rebuilt from tha ground up. Tha re-code ensured dat Newschoolers.com wood not fol' under tha pressure of tha thousands of hits it received every day, dog, an' after movin to another new server, dog, tha site wuz finally solid an' ready fo' aczzle.
Three years after tha initial concept wuz conceived, son, Newschoolers.com has become tha place to find informazzle, son, talk to utha skiers, son, watch videos, son, an' look at pictures. Tha possibilities endless as thousands of new forum posts appear each week, son, an' new members join daily. As tha sport of skiin continues to grows, son, so does Newschoolers.com. Wit magazines, dog, ski movies, dog, an' ski hills noticin tha mass potential of tha site, son, only tyme will tell wha will happen next.
