skiier mag is not worth $5 to me so i didn't buy it... but i was reading it in boarders this afternoon and they featured a washington resort that started with an A and i was wondering if anyone knew which one it was?and also how far it is from portland? thanks
its good on good days, and poopy on poopy days, just like every other place in washington. ive had a lot of fun skiing there though
bad lines on weekends getting onto armstrong or whatever it is
can be (must have snow, of course), and if you like park too, then west and central are like withen 2 miles, and if there is snow, perhaps a killer park?
must wait and see
I'm not sure it would be worth the drive. Its an awesome mountain, if you hit the right day, but thats tricky. Great if you have a seasons pass. But as Grant said, if Alpental's shitty, you can go across the freeway (like a 2 minute drive if that) to West or Central which both have great parks (and your ticket for the day is good at all the areas).
But don't be fooled by any literature or websites... all of snoqualmie is small, its not really a mountain. Alpental is ok size-ish, especially with the back country. But compared to "real" resorts (like Whistler, etc) its nothing. I still love it though, and its my home mountain.
