anyone else hate this place?? i go in there and i ask questions and they never have any idea what i am talking about...and they are rude...and its not just one...ive been to a couple...and they all suck.

I agree that many of the ski markets don’t really cater to the twin-tip, free-ride side of the sport. Ski market is a volume based company that has 23 locations. There employees know the product that the general population is purchasing. As much as we would like to think we are the industry (even though we are growing based on a percentage of total industry revenue) free-ride, and twin-tip ski purchases only makes up a fraction of total world ski sales. However, the Framingham location is in-touch with the industry and has an in-depth knowledge of the new school product. It is my contention that there are more employees at ski market with a better knowledge of twin tips then there is at summit. However, the difference lies in the total number of employees that work at summit v. ski market. With a smaller staff summit can have a more dedicated industry feel to specific product lines. On the contrary ski market due to volume has to hire bodies to fill other voids outside of ski hard good sales. Both summit and ski market (the Framingham location only) are very in-touch with the industry and you can be confident that you will get the right product for you at either location.

^^ i dont really expect ski market to know much about our end of the sport...but when i ask them if they have the smith goggle anthem in a white and they look at me like i have a 3rd eye and then ask me if it even comes in that color, then i start to wonder about them. then they tell me to go home and look it up online. i tell them i already have, and they say they tgink they can call and order it for me, but they are not sure, come back another time. then i start to get annoyed.

they know what their talking about, go to em. they always have the best stuff and will give you their honest opinion and reccomendation for the best stuff for you. plus they are mad chill.

Hey I agree I would be pissed if I was looking for a common item like that and the person at the store that is supposed to be knowledgeable about the product is asking you questions. That would piss me off. The only thing that I was trying to convey is that the Framingham location is the best ski market store in the company and I would say one of the best shops around. As a company ski market gets a bad rap and usually it is deserved. Go to the Framingham location you will be happy ļ

yea ill have to check out the framingham one...i go to school in newton...ill have to check it out sometime this week...and the thing that gets me about the goggles...i was at the boston store...they are supposed to be the best ski market in the area right? but thats ok the guy at the helley hansen store said he could order them for me! cuz they carry smith goggles!

when you go to the frammingham store you should look for joe (usually weekends) there is 2 things joe knows fords/skis. And also ask him why he has a black band around his arm? he will say "in rememberance of one who is no longer with us"

but yeah they dont really have a freeski secene, underground has some pretty ill outerwear though

I hate ski market, complete retards work there. The boston one blows. "do you know if you guys will carry any of this years movies like sh 6?" and all you get back is a look like you have 3 heads then a point to the snowboarding section. I take all my business to nashua and goto ken jones, no sales tax and nice knowledgeable people

yea stay away from ski market, my uncle took a pair of volkl 6stars to get tuned their last year, and some retard fucked up and grinded one of the edges like completely off, they pair for it but it took most of the season to get a new pair of skis, fuck ski market

+1. Ski Market is horrible. It seems like whenever I go, no matter what Ski im looking at the sales men always comes over says "yea those are awesome, i had them las season."

Ken Jonese/Proctor Jones are sick. Great prices, friendly, and knowledgable.
