first of all chricton does corks not dspins, 2nd of all buchars crosses qwith dspins are sick b/c hes double jointed in the ankles so he can cross em more. but everyone does dspins and they are getting old QUICK.

like this is a perfect example of what I was talking about in my 'skiers suck' thread. Skiers and ski media find something to talk about for the year than they suck the life right out of it till there's nothing left but a post at the starting of next season on a website asking if everyone is sick of it. We gotta stop talking about 'style' so much. Style is good for the sport and it will happen, we don't gotta talk about it, just let it evolve on its own. Instead of concintraiting on one little thing in the sport, we (by we I mean the skiing public AND the media) should just concintrait on skiing as a whole, I think this aspect of the sport will be around forever if we do that, because the way it's going now it'll just be a fad and die like traditional freestyle did.

i think d-spins are friekin cool, theres nothing more to it. the pros will go bigger and bigger each year. they didnt 'butcher' the trick, maybe its just their way of doing it.

Dspins look soooo sweet. They just flow, so natural. Its not like there are many tricks that havent been around for years that look as good unless you throw them really well. I mean dspins=money (sponsorhip, glory, and money for real). This year should be different, Im seeing more unique twists on regualr tricks, just check out propaganda. Yeah style is getting sooo played out but thats what you gotta do to get through to some ppl. To me its natural, Im gonna throw something that looks smooth whether Im in a comp (it could happen) or busting it out at the park. I think ppl will get the idea and what not. Who knows, most of us are not in the industry so who cares, I mean if you see your sport going into the shitter definitely take a stand but its ok right now and Im gonna have a fun year, not worry about what FREEZE or Freeskeir or Jp Auclair says.

To 'elansucksass', what is it that is so crappy about the d-spins of Crichton and Buchar? Is it the fact that they win competitions and piles of money with them that bothers you? Or is it the idea that they get big pictures in magazines because of it that is so abominable? I think you need to take your head out of your arse before making ignorant comments with no supporting logic. The fact of the matter is that VERY few people can actually do true d-spins, and that when done correctly (i.e, Olsson, Crichton, Buchar, Douglas, etc.), they are both technically difficult and commanding of respect, and aesthetically pleasing.

I actually thought that the shot they had of Candide's d-spin over Chads Gap in The Game didnt look so good.
I didn't see any other angles, like from TGR or Wind Up, or anything, but I thought that shot in The Game was kinda boring.

the 'shittyness' i was refering too was how forced they look. Especially chrictons. he looks like he throws them. he is all wound up and stuff. I still like d-spins, such as jon osloons, cause his are tucked up more, and more fluid. As for brenden Buchararrar, i think he needs to try to tweak his tail grabs a little more, because they are like, barely tweaked at all. Unless the skis are parralell, it's not cool.

And Mike, nice attempt to have a unique opinion and acting as if you are above it all. But i know you aren't. So doesn everyone else who isn't a moron. Sorry bro, but don't try to be somehting you aren't.

Taylor, I have no idea who you are, but apparently, your post indicates that you know who I am. Apparently, I am trying to be something that am I not and that I am above it all. And that everyone on this forum is pretty much a moron if they do not know that I am 'above it all.' Well, one thing is for sure, and that's that I have never set myself out to be above someone in any way. Respecting other opinions on these forums has always been a hallmark of my posts. The occasional animated statement like 'head out of your arse' is not meant to be trash talking or a low-blow -- they're just firm attempts to get people to wake up or look at the real issues. If it's an 'attempt' at a unique opinion, (i.e., the types of opinions we need in these DISCUSSION forums), that's fine with me. But at least it is an opinion with substance and logic backing it, and not unsubstantiated nonsense.

Where exactly did you see Crichton do a 'thrown' or 'forced' d-spin? And how many have you seen? I have seen many. Some are excellent, some are weak (Whistler Open?). For the most part, they are very strong. Had he not overrotated his final jump at the WSI big air, I'm sure he would have placed 1st or 2nd -- not too shabby considering the field there and judging panel that went with it.

No doubt, Jon Olsson has the best d-spin in the world, but he's not the only one who does them well. People like Crichton, Buchar, Douglas, Easley, etc. all do them well, and are all respected IMMENSELY by MANY people. I'm just stating the facts, and I am not going to argue with the facts.

Dave Chrichton D-spin are one of the sweetest out there, the reason why he is not tucked up is because he grab his tail grabs really close from the tail and he arch is back alot instead of bringing his knee to his chest like some other would do.....

where in my post to I call 'Darryl' a moron? I don't, I just don't agree with his new cliche. I have been doin the post thing for a long ass time, and Darryl used to be the first one to be hyped about the new trick, or whatever the current fad was in skiing. I don't agree with his new anti-fad attitude, because it's contradictory to his old persona.

As for my posts being ignorant.......hey thats your opinion on my own opinion. After all, aren't the fourms a place where you can post your opinion? What is up with people thinking gay tricks are hella cool. Jonny's dinner roll 900s, CR's bio 1260 lui kangs, Brad's backflip screamin' seeman; like those are hard? They have no style at all either. If they were really cool they would bust some quad daffys or some twister spreads.
