I agree but i think that grab with a frontflip would be really hard because to need to throw your upper body forward first to set the flip then arch and lean back for the grab.

ehhhh im not a fan of that grab looks kinda forced i like the double grab that guy does in the shanghai six trailer in his 630 off the rail like a critical saftey grab or colbys double grabs or critical nose grabs those are the best its all off to one side so like in a left side cork 7 grab left ski right and left hand mmmmmm or a true tail double grab that grab hes doin just looks to stiff and not fluid i couldnt do it but thats not the point the point is what it looks like not how hard it is to do

Do you know what a poke is? I have yet to see any skier do a real poke. And as for the grab, i wasn't too impresed with the style. It's definitly a hard grab to do, but i personally don't want to learn it.

haha, on saturday i was on the bathroom at a place called Hemsen, and i was minding my own buisnies i overherd to pretty drunk fags talking shit about something. saying stuff like "that really pisses me of" and "i hate when that happend" and eventualy the one guy said with a really gay voice, "when i see those switch 7's i really get pissed of, those are just sooooooo last year" i just had to finish up and leave before i would die of laughter. (it was on this film festival and we had watched teddybear crissis and another skimovie) THEY WHERE GAY!

I actually know this guy, he coaches the Vail Freeride Team. Vail, being the corporate entity that it is, asks their sponsored athletes to do some pretty lame things. Noah wanted to get inverted during this shoot, Vail wanted the "cool double grab." Is it selling out to do a trick like that when your season pass is on the line? Hmmm. Open question.
Anyhow, I think that the ad campaign says it all when it comes to how fucked up and out of touch Vail is.
The ad in question is a 3 pager, with the first page a wicked BASE jump next to a waterfall. It looks totally cool and I'm guessing it's Angel Falls in Venezuela. The next 2 pages are lame shots of skiing in Vail. The tag line for the base jump is something like Fun? and then for the next 2 pages, "Not as fun as Vail."
Unfortunately for them, the BASE jump looks like a hell of a lot more fun than skiing in Flail, eerrr, Vail.

2) Did you ever think that maybe someone at Vail requested he throw that type of air to fit the design of the ad?
3) Do you even know where that shot is? That's launching off of the ridge on Blue Sky down into Iron Mask or Lover's Leap. To get that grab you would have to launch at least 50 feet into a bumpy landing. Go try it the next time Mom and Dad take you to Vail and then come back here and say its "gay."
4) I bet he got paid by Vail and I bet he has a garage full of free Line skis. How many of you critics have ever been paid to ski?
5) I've skied with N.B. and I would bet he could rip 99% of the people on this site a new one on the hill.
Crap, you hacks should be glad that Vail is willing to use a picture like that in their advertising. It wasn't too long ago that most resorts in the US would pull your ticket for catching an air like that.
Q: How many Newschoolers does it take to make a Vail ad?
A: Zero, but they can all sit at home on the internet and say "dude, I could do that."

Actually now he probably has a garage full of free rossi skis (considering he's apparently sponsored by rossi now), but i totally agree with you. Kids get on here an rip that dude up, because his trick isn't what they think style is. That thing is tweaked to shit and back. That takes some serious skill to do that in the air. And for single photos, big grabs are better anyways because you normally can't even tell what trick they are doing unless its a sequence.
I'll bet if tanner hall did that in a shoot for freeskier or something, these same little morons would be on here saying it's hot shit. THATS WHY IT'S CALLED FREESKIING, YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOU WANT AND SHOULDN'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT WHAT LITTLE BITCHES HAVE TO SAY.
