Breaking Stuff Upon landing?

So i havent ever listened to music via headphones when i've skied (I have heard music on the hill, thanks to Stevens Pass's sounds system over the terrain park), and i was just wondering; Has anyone ever broken thier sound system by falling down while skiing (or when crashing into someone you didnt notice because you were bopping your head to the beat)?


Also, do you guys use CD players or what? An mp3 player would make more sense cause it doenst ever skip... (if anyone wants a Nomad 2 MP3 player with 64mb, message me)

i have the nomad jukebox...and the size and wieght of it are a problem, but the quality and the amount of music is unbelievable

have you guys ever had the yo yo effect. it is where you land in gorilla steez and you balls get pulled towards the ground then spring back up and hit you in the leg it fucking hurts

I wrapped my MP3 player in a headband and put it in an inside pocket. It worked good. Hasnt broken yet.
There is nothing motherly about mother nature. Except for her big mountainous breasts.

This happens when I straightline bumps too much. But usually I just let them hang anyway or absorb more shock with my knees to lessen the yoyo effect

This is a fucking great thread. Amazing to hear people talk about mp3 players like they're the best thing ever (they were tho).... I remember I got this cd player and was so fucking stoked. You could drop it and the cd wouldn't skip. For the kids out there, if you jiggle a portable cd player, they would skip. G protection baby

I used CD players as a kid, but even the one that said they had the skip protection would still skip. Did that wear off or something?

My sister had this same CD player, it was pretty dope. The no skip is a hell of a throwback

I had a pretty similar one that was yellow. Yup no skip meant it was coming to ski practice.

Pretty sure a bunch of Ludacris was listened to.

Damn... when MP3 players popped off and everyone and their brother had Skullcandy icons. Under the goggles, over the goggles/under the helmet/behind the neck, or just around your neck. You could break the shit out of them and Skullcandy would just send you a new pair, luck of the draw on colorways.

I'm surprised no one was mentioning mini-disc players. A lot of the older guys at smuggs had mini discs back in the early 2000's, I thought they were so sick haha
