the testimonials bit is the worst:

While we were stationed in Germany in the military I worked with the youth at Malachi Ministries. During an English language camp and teen revival we gave The Truth For Youth Bible to all of the young people. One young man was a devout Buddist. After several days of reading your comics He said, “There is something that makes your God real and mine not real.” He read the plan of salvation in The Truth For Youth Bible and whole heartedly accepted Jesus Christ, joined an English speaking Bible study and has set out to serve God. He cherishes his copy of The Truth For Youth Bible as being the tool that God used to reach him. Thank You!

3: This young lady from Riverdale, GA was heavily involved in witchcraft. A young person gave her a Truth For Youth Bible. As a result of the power of God's Word she gave her life to Jesus Christ!

so basically, theyre going around brainwashing people. sounds like a cult to me.

yeah fundamentalism (of any kind) troubles me.
and whilst these people arent packing ak's, theyre still spreading hatred and essentially preying on people at their most desperate to try & make them convert.
could someone clear this up for me: apart from crhistianity and nutty cults, do any religiona have missionaries and evangelists who go around telling people that theyre wrong and evil & that they must change?

thats not really how you use the word dude. if the source of the stories was a "secular" organization... say the ACLU or like... NAACP or something like that, then they stories would be "secular lies" as you put it before.

but since the stories are told and promulgated by a religious or "liturgical", if you would rather, source, that makes them decidedly non secular.

just knowing the definition of a word doesnt mean that you understand it. your context was all wrong. in both posts.
