Freeskier fantasy problem

I have $28,000 and I want to buy Matt Sterbenz, and he is $28,000, but when I try to buy him, it tells me, 'Your funds have been squandered sucka!'

Anyone else experience this?

you can't spend the last bit, because once the contests open up, you will need $$ to enter your team into them. And if you use all your money on buying a team, you won't have any left to go into comps with! :D
