Be careful, some of those places are psuedo-lockdown facilities for rich kids with "problems". Make sure whatever one you're looking at isn't one of those...
Yeah i dont want to go to a racing one Im trying to find one with a freestyle program but i bet the park city one does and i'd love to ride PC and local mountains like brighton, alta, snowbird, solitude, ect.
i dont know about west coast ski academies except for Squaw Valley academy.
This is my first year at gould academy its aight so far but its gona be sick when it starts to snow. You can see the backside Sunday River from the campus so its only 5 minutes away and theres a mini jib park we setup too and a shitty skatepark. i think like most schools you get to ride everyday from 11:30-4 and all day on the weekends too.
CVA has a better freeski program than gould and holdneress but Sugarloaf sucks its always cold as fuck and windy, and the kids I talked to who go to cva said it isnt that good cause your always mad tired and the academics are shitty if you plan on going to a decnet colledge.
Waterville academy looks dope but my parents wouldnt send me to it cause its not an 'acdredited highschool' which means igues it isnt that good in school shit.
And holderness you get to ride at Waterville and loon which have real good parks better than sunday river's but it has more rules, dress code and religous shit than gould and doesnt have as long as a season as gould.
i go to a ski academy in northern california called Sugar Bowl Academy. check it out at www.sbacademy.org , its pretty sick. The freeride program is super good too, which is what i am on.
