Pocket Rockets or Scratch BC?

Hey I am getting new skis for christmas and I am totally undecided on what to get. I had the 1080's and I liked them but they were too short plus they got stolen at the end of last season. I ski on the east coast but go out west a lot. I am basically 40% park 60% all mountain. I am trying to decide between the Pocket Rockets but my friend just told me about the Scratch BC, he has the FS and loves them. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also if anyone else has any other ski ideas that would be awesome

both skis are great ive skied them both and its tough to pick a favorite. it really comes down to what u want to spend. for east coast i would lean towards the scratch but pocket rocket is great out west

Yeah I know that the Pocket Rocket is good out west, but how was it on the groomed stuff? I really like the Pocket ROcket, I just don't want it to blow on the groomed stuff since thats what I ski on most of the time

The Pocket Rockets do really nicely on the groomed run..granted they're not meant to be a carving ski, like the X-Scream, but they hold their own...that and the core of the Pocket Rocket is second to none...get the Pockets.

I got the BC's and they're pretty sick. Awesome for park and rails, but if your ridin' groomed than you'll have to tune the edges up a bit cause they come a bit dull.
All in ALL for sure a sweet ass ski and you won't go wrong if you pick these up.

the pocket rockets work really well on hardpack, and there amazing when the snow gets deep. they get a little noodly when your skiing crud though. probably the same as the scratch bc, its a similar ski.

Personally, i'd go with the pocket rockets. i'm a huge fan, and the PR does extremely well on the groomers, while doing well on pow and holding its own in the cruddies. Get the pocket rockets, you will not be disappointed

ive never been on the scratch, but i love my rockets... and the scratch are at least twice as heavy ... if that matters to you. you could seriously get a work out lifting those things...

I think I am going to go with the pocket rockets. But now I am trying to decide what length. I am like 6' 225. I was thinking the 185. Will this be too long for the park? also are the extra wide brakes for Salomon bindings easy to find? Thanks

the pocket rockets are surprisingly much like a park ski in the park, very easy rotation. These skis are just heaven in the pow too.

i would get the pocket rockets, i loved them when i demoed them at whistler. They are awesome on the hard pack, they will carve kinda like a snowboard, later that day i hit up the poweder, and they were awesome, and then i hit up the park and they are really solid, get the pocket rockets
