ok, so i have 3s 5s 7s and big 180s dialed, and i wanna go corked this season. i hear its easiest to cork a 5, just drop your lead shoulder? i was also wondering how carvin up the lip works, like, i can def carve, i used to race, but does it make it easier? any help would be nice, please dont post if ur just gunna be an ass and laugh at me for not knowing. thanks.
well i did a few cork s n a cork/flatspin seven a the end of the season, for cork 3s i carve into the jump, i dont really pop n i droped my left soldier (spinning left) n u really have to commit to it.
for sevens what i did i just copied this kid in front of me who could do these corks or flatspins not sure what u guys call it but i swung my arms following the lip of the jump n to start the rotation a went n looked at my skis, not sure if u get what i mean but i hoped it help u a bit
i havent done cork 5s yet
cork 7s are by far the easiest. just set a normal 7 except for you're setting a little bit back. it somtimes helps to look over you're leading shoulder on take off. You don't need to set off axis that hard just start off a little then work up to more corked as you go
carve off the jump. it helps a lot, and just gradually keep trying to cork spins you'll get it. Dont listen to fools who say not to pop. Popping is essential to any trick off a jump in skiing.
yea, you can carve bit as well, and i would say more look aorund and down your leading shoulder, looking over leads to d spinage.
and for cork3 carve hard POP. and tip your whole upper bod to the way you spin, dotn really twist much, less than you would for a normal three. for cork five i do same thing, except set a little more rotation off the lip but still not as much for a normal five. Just practice on somehting your cant get hurt, then youll just be able to doe by feel.
correct me if i'm wrong but when I watch the pros do it they carve in and if your spinning right like rory bushfield does in this picture I'm looking at let your right foot lead or put it further back if you get what i'm trying to say and now that im thinking about it, it makes sense to do but right now im in the same spot as you.
It's all about flowww... I found the easiest is to start with corked 3's. Go up to the jump and literally nose butter off the jump and it automatically sends you into a nice corked spin.
you all have it wrong - To learn corks , you must be comfortable leaning backwards. To do this you must try backflips. I you have a trampoline try airplanes and intereprate that into skiing . Try cork 7's first and don't nose butter off the jump to get corked. That looks so fucking ugly. Not to mention doesn't give you any air.
this is just me but with cork 5 or 7 i just set the spin normal but then throw my left hand down to grab tail and it spins me around, that might be confusing but just try leaning back a little bit with a 7 leading tail and it will throw you off without even trying
