"Globes and Maps" is about him and his girlfriend's long distance relationship.
The long distance has finally caught up to them and he can't handle it anymore. He wants to be with her more than anything but he can't, because he's pursuing his music career.
He wants to tell her how he truly feels about the long distance but he doesn't want to hurt her because he knows that they are both already hurt from the separation...
