...friggin' rule. ottawa just beat toronto in the nhl's first ever shootout. alfredsson had a crazy game, with 2 goals in the 3rd period and the winner in the shootout. SICK.
yeah shootouts are kinda frustrating because they're not representative at ALL of how the players performed in the game. the leafs looked great on the ice, had pressure on the sens the whole game, the sens got a few quick ones on leaf screw ups, and win in a shootout. oh well. i can't be too disappointed though because everybody was expecting the sens to destroy the leafs, which clearly was not the case since there was a shoot out. good game for sure.
it's too bad coaches can't challenge plays like in the NFL, because ottawa had a goal that the ref's didn't even call early on. would have changed everything.
but dude, it doesn't matter anyways, because if the previous rules were still in existance, toronto would get 1 point out of it nonetheless.
meh, i'm not too concerned about it. it's in the past. there's too many what ifs that come into factor. you can say, what if that goal could have been challenged. i say, what if mats sundin didn't get injured in the first period. either way, it's good hockey and i enjoyed it. close games are so much more exciting. but yeah, my leafs got some work to do.. had a big chemistry change and that'll take some getting used to.
the thing i'm more pissed about is kipprusoff and the flames getting trounced tonight. damn, that's gonna hurt the pool.
well i'm a huge fan of naslund so i'd like to see vancouver get somewhere. bergeron kills that shit too, but boston? meh.. whatever. i'm more a fan of individual players than anything.
