i'm trying to install a 2nd cd drive on my pc and i need to know if i can run it into the auxillary input? I only have one slot for cd drives on my...I don't know what it's called, but the big green thing you plug all the shit into.

you only have space for one cd drive? i'm guessing that the big green thing you're talking about is either the power supply or the motherboard. you don't need to plug anything into the motherboard for a secondary cd drive to work, except for the ide (ribbon) cable.

just hook some power to it and plug in the ribbon cable and you should be good to go

ok...
there should be two power cords. on going to the drive you already have in there, and one just hanging around.
the one you already have in should be labeled "master". there should be a second power cord (exactly like the way you connected the original one) it is labeled slave.
plug the new drive into the slave drive. thaere you go
