Now do giro helmets actually protect as well as boeri. I am looking into the giro helmets but it feels wayyyy too light and looks as if the plastic isnt that hard. Has any had any trouble with giro or cracked the plastic shell on it?
i love my giro nine, tune-ups with it too so its sickk, and i would say it works, cas i hit my head pretttty damn hard, and it was on ice (haha, yeah like it was acually snow on the east coast) and i felt fine. buy one!
i searched for sooo long and tried so many helmets on and they all made my head look humongo, then i found the nine. its sick, the only thing is, the way the earflaps connect to the helmet is such shitty quality. i lost an earflap putting my helmet on while i was on a lift, i didnt even realize it till later
GET an OVO. the OVO V is soooo light, and sick, and will definately protect you better than any helmet out there. Like Majic Johnson says.... "Always wear protection"
I love mine. I have a Giro 9. I've had it for several years. it has a few small dents in it, but it does really protect. Lighter is better though, becuase you are less likely to have neck injuries with a lighter helmet. You have to remember that any helmit is only good for one, maybe two huge impacts (ie tree collisions).
