So I'm going to build an up flat down box about 21 feet long in 3 sections each 7 feet long. Currently I have about 13 feet of lexon for the top sheet but I dont have any plywood yet for the sides. Do you think It'd work if i just used ply wood sides 1/4 inch think then just a few2x4's in the middle to hold the 2 together? or would i have to use a 1/2"? and I really dont want to pay for it but I can't figure out where I can steal it from, we have a lumber yard but it is caged in(not worried about jumping it) and i dont knwo where the ply wood is in it
alright thanks ill probably do that then. but im just wondering if it coudl take a beating cuz chances are were going to set it up different and make some other boxes to connet to it and set up gaps and all
ya jsut use 1/4 inch. if it were me i would make sure the the 2x4s just that nad all of it together are very sturdy then put on the boards kus u dont want the stuff holding it as teh plywood. but if it is then use 1/2 inch or more. but ya use 1/4 unless its the main thing holding it up then use thicker stuff
thats what im talking about stealing stuff... my friends and i are working on a 40ft down rail from an old abandoned walmart but the thing is last time we cut some of it someone called to cops on us cuz its in the middle of town
