I don't want to cover it with wax, I don't mind getting it wet. I'd ask the owners first anyway. I'm not even sure if it's theirs, it's a support of a bridge.

in 9 cases out of 10, snow will work fine. and if its cold and you let water freeze on it, youre golden

id be more worried about what your edges are going to do to it apposed to the wax.

it'll get fucked up no matter what. just go for it and make sure you take a fat kid you can leave behind if cops come or something so you can blame it on him.

thats all i have here..tons of rough ass concrete slidable ledges. i am going to ask. i thought about wax...but i guess apparently snow will work fine. how badly will it hurt my skis though?

if its sorta rough, it might be a little harder, unless your edges don't exist, like my Trouble makers. i slide on the core and sidewall. its sick.

i have skis for it, I'm just worried that I'll just catch an edge right when i get on. Then slide on my face the rest of the way.

you have to wax it. then rub your ski down it. Then stand up on it and try to slide it slowly... then when it feels stable and slidable... go for it.

You dont have to wax them, really, its not necessary unless its warm out. if its cold (below freezing) then it should slide after you a little snow over it to get it wet.

wax makes it feel alot better, no matter what the temperature. go to a candle supply store, and buy a brick ( ur supposed to melt it to make candles) but it works perfect for ledges

I slid a marlble ledge last winter, those slide awesome. Smooth as a box. Almost got arrested though.
