i made a pair or trampoline skis today cause i'm sick of waitin for the snow. I wrapped the edges in foam pipe insulator and took off the brakes. Its kinda harp to spin but grabs are wicked. Great idea for any one with a tramp.
Snowblades might be good for tramp jumping. They're small so you could still get good bounce and shit and actually be able to flip....as long as no one saw you
i would never take actualy skis on a tramp w/ boots and shit, thats sounds like an ankle break to me. But, me and a friend just got a really good tramp for 10 bucks! what a deal. we are gonna make some abdass cardboard skis tho and throw down.
stiff tramp skis are bad actually. you want a soft ski that will go with the flex of the trampoline bed. you want some nice short kids skis really, not too soft though. about 145-160 is the right length.
i much prefer adapting skateboards to the trampoline myself. get a nice oversize deck and mount some snowboard bindings to it. the trick is you have to install the screws upwards into you feet so they don't fuck up the tramp. i remove the high backs as well. my stance is actually with one foot on the tail, and the other where the truck goes. it's a kill setup. i like to run a little bit of duct tape on the base for grip too, it can be slippery depending on your bed. there's all sort of cool jibs that you can set up as well with a little innovation. i have two trampolines so i get mad combo shit on the go.
my other off season training is cliff jumping into water.
My buddies and I started using tramp skis on our tramp. We can do frontflips, lincoln loops, 3s and stuff. However, you dont go nearly as high as you do without em so we dont use em anymore. plus, its been dumping here in Bozeman, so we just been using them to go early season skiing.
Me and my friends made a tramp bike last year. We took off the wheels off a little kids bike and put foam and tape around the sharp parts. Its fun, you can do tailwhips and spins and stuff. MY friend tried a backflip and almost died haha
