I've sold hundreds over the years and never had one come back for going flat. New Spaceframe reinforces the structure anyway and Salomon's powerfoam has been used since the late 80's.
everything delams when you stomp 50 gaps and nose press boxes. if the manufacturer is standing behind it thats all you can hope for - and a good local shop to hook it up.
New England Armada rep works here. Wants you to know they won't blow up. I'll give you his cell if they do :)
Armada's construction has become tighter over the years and they're still improving; always. Either way IMHO the AR5 and the 1080 are the two best AM twins on the market.
1080's shouldn't fall apart if they do the shop that sold them to you should hook you up with a new pair or at least help you out with any warenty issues.
i dunno though i find there is something about riding foam cores that just doesn't feel right.
i had the 1080's the edges come right out. they are light and spin well but are TERRIBLE for switch landings. Save your money, buy some invaders. They are better than 1080's by far and cheaper too
I have the orange 181's from 2yrs ago and they have been freakin awsome. I put them through hell and back, both on the mountain and getiing thrown around in the back of my truck and garage. They are no good for jumping anymore, cause i smashed the edges in multiple places, but they still are gettin the job done on urban rails. This is the first pair of skis that has lasted me longer than one season, i'm impressed with them.
the foils have a totally new construction. They are much wider and seem to hold up better. The thrusters are just the same as last years specs. Besides... the new foils look wicked sick
