Last year around this time we tried to start an online zine for montana and wyoming, nothing raly happened except for the creation of a cult that spawned a few but not many ideas. I think that it could still work though. I have some ideas for it and if you are interested message me or reply here and ill let you in the cult or if you were in the cult go in there and post ideas if you want to.

ok, i guess cults are down for now so ill post my idea here.
i would like to set up a site like the news section on ns, devor maybe you could help with that. and since i am not a good writer i would post photo essays and videos since i am a decent photographer and if i could get some of you other guys (kld, spyder, gudgulf, that were with it in the beginning to write some articles or throw in some photos we could get this thing started in time for winter.
once we get going with decent content and a permanent site we could print stickers off and plaster them all over our local hills, skis, schools, cars, binders, etc.. to get people to go to the site and check out why they should ski or why our resorts should change and be more park freindly.
basically if you didnt want to read that i want to create a voice for the newschool skiier that will help the lacking newschool scene in most of montana.
thats it

No offense but it seems to me Montana/Wyoming have a good scene already that is just getting better.

big mountain, big sky, great divide, and jackson have good park scenes, the other mountains around the state hardly even build a park

I'm over in Missoula and I'd def. donate some photos and maybe some stories. Some friends and I are going to do 3 major trips this year. A road trip to whistler with 4 people in a small ass jeep, a road trip to Alaska in a fucking RV!, and a road trip to Bozeman to stay in the hostel and chill at big sky for a weekend.

I was thinking about this and how it is a good idea, I just dont really have time to run a website, nor do I know how to build a really good site, especially one better than NS. I think we should just post on this forum ALOT more and post MORE PICTURES in here. I like this website/forum alot and I always check it, we just need to get more Montana people coming here and posting events, or else we can just post for them if one of us finds out about it.
Basically, this Montana forum is our ezine :)

Dever has an excellent point. I'm down for stickers though.

i agree with devor too, but what we need is a more organized format that looks good without all the ranting and fighting and arguing that someone who is in charge of a ski area will look and agree that they need to put more money into newschool not racing.
basically we need an organized voice of the people on here on what they want to change and hopefully it will get noticed

An organized voice is definitly what we need. We could link it up with the bc slopesyle comp to be our inital funding source, and then use the funds to pay for a site and some stickers, i think this could get off the ground. In the beginning, the site doesnt have to be perfect or have a lot of content nessisarily, but it should get better over time. I learned how to make web pages using a Microsoft program in school last year, I could do something with that....
