does anybody have any experience with this.... thing? my dad bought it off ebay for mad cheap (or so he says) and i have to figure out what it is, and how to install it. it looks pretty cool though; can watch satellite tv on my computer? whoa..
its called a graphics card and its an aight one. just open up your computer case, find a open pci slot and just jam it in there, and connect your monitor to it, turn the comp on and install the drivers for it from the website or cd
^ i've never heard of a PCI 9600xt, it's gonna be an AGP card, hopefully you have a slot for it (would have been a good thing to check before hand). but the point is you can hook up a regular coax cable to it and install some software and bam, TV on your computer. not to mention you'll be able to record anything you want.
yep, you can. actually, i opened the box, got ready to get started and it was the wrong damn card. they mistakingly put in the Asus V9520/T or some shit.. nothing even close. so my dad is furious, went to bitch, and hopefully we'll end up with something very.. very nice. i'll get back to you guys on that one.
yeah another cool thing is you can use a television as your display and can get some insane resolutions, or you can hook dual monitors and use that. pretty sick shit these engineers are creating for us these days
well if the 9800 pro AIW then that will be better than the 9600xt obviously. but make sure they aren't sending you a stock 9800 (no coax). and fyi tv cards have been around for about 8 years. :D
