Replying to Boy Scouts know how to get my money

A little kid, easily like 7 years old and his mom just knocked on my door asking me if I wanted to buy some popcorn. My parents weren't home so no money from them and they usually buy something when the scouts come around. And I wasn't about to say no to this little kid trying to fundraise for something he likes. But you see I didn't want any of this damn popcorn they were selling. So being the nice guy I am I just gave the kid a twenty (well his mom) and said I wasn't interested in any popcorn but I'll donate. Well now I'm 20 bucks poorer.
